Legal Counsel (m/f)
Job description
Within the global legal team of the Getronics group, you will be responsible for advising on various legal matters, for providing legal support and advice to all Getronics BeFraLux divisions and companies.
As multidisciplinary team-player, you will work closely with the Senior BeFralux Legal Counsel/Vice Global Legal Counsel for the region and other functions within the company (Tax, Finance, HR, Sales, Internal Audit/compliance, Budget & Control) as well as external specialists in order to support the Getronics business in BeFraLux and function as a dynamic part of an international team of Legal Counsels.
Your Main tasks will be:
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, specifically ICT contracts and other agreements with our main customers (public, fin & Industry sector) and suppliers.
- Support and advise Business, in a proactive way, in closing deals, projects and conclude service level agreements and contracts and making the difference with important added value for the business.
- Keep the Business and management informed of relevant legal evolutions concerning commercial Law, IT law, intellectual property law, company law, public procurement Law, EU Law and all relevant legal evolution in the sector.
- Implement and monitor corporate governance obligations of the Companies in the BeFraLux region
- Monitor legal conflicts, communicate with external lawyers, manage budgets

As part of an international Legal team, you will:
- Report to the Senior Legal Counsel BeFraLux/Vice Global Legal Counsel
- Closely work together with the Legal Counsels of the other group companies
- Support and/or be responsible for the legal assistance on international deals
- Elaborate and contribute to the legal policy of the group on matters such as legal strategic thinking, compliance programs, training programs, improve templates and circulate knowhow.
Profile
- Master degree in law.
- Willingness to work as part of a team and help out on all matters
- An additional Master or training in the field of ICT, IP, Public Procurement Law, Privacy law, corporate law is welcome.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a law firm and/or in-house
- Relevant experience in a commercial/ICT service area or other relevant business is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in an international and multi-cultural environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills – able to work well and build relationships across a diverse set of stakeholders and characters
- Clear and effective communication skills – able to state opposing or unpopular views in a clear and independent fashion
- Feel co-responsible – you take ownership
- Problem solving skills – ability to identify practical solutions
- Result and service driven, Hands-on and pragmatic
- Excellent communication skills in French and English. You are strong in Dutch or are eager to learn

- Willing to travel occasionally (FR/UK)
